Step 3: Evaluating Options

The Comox Strathcona Waste Management team is updating its Solid Waste Management Plan.

An SWMP is a long-term plan for managing and reducing waste in the region – and it requires input from the community to determine the best steps forward.

Step 3 where the rubber hits the road. Community input helped to form the goals and principles, and a technical evaluation has identified strategies and actions to get there.

We need you to review the strategies and actions, along with their costs and impacts, and share your input.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Attend an event to learn more and share your thoughts
  • Review information and complete the online survey
  • Post questions below for the project team to answer

Participate online or in person for a chance to win a $100 grocery store gift certificate.

*Survey closes October 16, 2025.
