The City of Courtenay has released the proposed Zoning Bylaw (Phase 1) for early review on the Engage Comox Valley site.
This early release provides the development community with an opportunity to review the proposed bylaw in advance of Council consideration. It supports informed feedback and allows time to consider how the changes may relate to current and future projects.
Council will consider first, second, and third readings of the proposed bylaw at the March 25, 2026 regular Council meeting.
We encourage you to review the proposed bylaw and share your feedback.

The City of Courtenay will host the next Development Industry Meetup on April 14, 2026.
This session will include a roundtable luncheon discussion focused on the Zoning Bylaw (Phase 2) review.
The roundtable will provide an opportunity to share insights on current challenges, cost pressures, and barriers within the existing Zoning Bylaw.Your input will help shape the scope of the next phase of the bylaw review and ensure it reflects real-world development experience.
