On February 17, 2026, the City of Courtenay’s Development Services team hosted a lunch-time meetup with members of the Comox Valley development industry at Native Sons Hall.
The session provided high-level updates on recent development process changes, including policy and bylaw modernization work, and shared progress on key planning initiatives such as the Official Community Plan, Downtown Revitalization Local Area Plan, and Strategic Transportation Plan. The team also outlined upcoming engagement opportunities and next steps for continued dialogue with the development community.
