Phase 1 of Zoning Bylaw review now complete - Phase 2 begins in April

As part of the "housekeeping" phase 1 review of the Courtenay Zoning Bylaw, Council adopted Zoning Bylaw No. 3203, 2026 at the March 27, 2026, special Council meeting. • Summary of what we heard – Staff will provide an update on how we are dealing with the comments we received at the Zoning Bylaw Round Table event on April 14th, 2026.
• Transportation Strategy Plan Update (Presentation by Matt Brown, Manager of Transportation Services).
• Professional Reliance Model (Presentation by Rob Dickinson) – Staff will address why ensuring your engineers are diligent on their design and inspections will save you money in the long term.
• Meet the New Director of Development Services – Jake Belobaba will be in attendance to introduce himself and take a short Q&A.
