The CVRD initiated an Addendum to the Stage 1 and 2 Comox Valley Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP) in 2022 to guide the long-term planning and phased delivery of the Sewer Extension South Project. While the Addendum Report was submitted in 2024, the loss of a significant funding partner requires substantive changes to the project plan to maintain affordability. A high-level summary and planning commitments for the project can be found in the Stage 3 LWMP. Project planning will be revisited once updated project cost estimates, phasing options and timing are known and will include additional community engagement.
