Quick update on this project. On September 11, 2023 the Regional District submitted an application to the Province for permission to erect at sign at the Spindrift beach access. Parks staff decided not to seek permission for a sign for the Kalmar access at this time. This decision was based on input from residents living beside the access. The access remains open to the neighbourhood and public to use. The sign for Spindrift will be installed upon receipt of a permit from the Province. We anticipate receipt of the permit in October.

A biologist started field research at Montrose Park on September 8, 2023. We’ll share the findings of this research later this fall.
