Construction for Town of Comox infrastructure upgrades continue along Balmoral Avenue, Stewart Street to Pritchard Road. Unfortunately, some unforeseen issues were discovered with a water main. Work on replacing the water main on the north side of the street will begin the week of September 9. It will require a water outage on September 11. Construction of the water main, including testing, is expected be completed by September 23rd.

Prep for curbing on the north side of Balmoral will begin the week of September 9 and will be completed towards the end of the month. Paving will be completed in October, once the forcemain construction and Town of Comox infrastructure upgrades, and forcemain pressure testing are completed on Balmoral Avenue, Torrence Road and Lazo Road.

Concrete Driveway Replacement: No Driveway Access September 16 - 23

Starting September 16, new driveways will be poured for the houses on the south side of the street. These houses will have their concrete driveways replaced and extended to accommodate the new sidewalk. Concrete requires several days to cure to prevent cracking. Driving on freshly poured and setting concrete is not recommended for one week.

If you have a vehicle(s) you require access to between September 16 - 23, please move it/them out of the driveway the evening of September 15 or before 7:00 am on September 16. Vehicle access will be re-instated on September 23. Parking has been provided for residents at the tennis courts parking lot of Anderton Park on Stewart Street starting the evening of September 15, cars can be parked here 24hrs/day.
