The Knight Road Detour is in effect. Lazo Road is closed 24 hrs/day from Brent Road to Guthrie Road. This detour is estimated to last until October 16, 2024.

Unfortunately, no pedestrian or bike access is possible around the construction zone. Construction is passing through the Lazo Marsh, an ecologically sensitive area. The construction zone is limited to the roadway, which requires a full road closure with no safe passage available for vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians.

With school starting next week, please allow extra time for commuting. Check ahead to determine how much time you will need to accommodate the Knight Road detour. Speak with other local families about the possibility of carpooling.

School District 71 (SD71) is up-to-date with the project and has been making adjustments to accommodate the detour. If your child currently rides a school bus, pick-up and drop-off times may have been impacted. SD71 will contact families whose routes and times have changed.
