As part of the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project the intersection of Comox Avenue and Stewart Street in the Town of Comox will be closed July 11 and July 12, 2024, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm for paving work.

The intersection will be closed to all vehicles except for emergency vehicles.

Please avoid this intersection for the duration of the closure and use signed detour routes. We appreciate our communities’ patience and cooperation. The safety of residents and workers is very important to the success of this project. Please slow down through construction zones, obey posted speed limits, follow detour signage and flagger instructions.

Pedestrian access to residences will be maintained.

When work in the intersection is complete paving will continue up Stewart Street. Properties on Stewart Street, Alder Avenue and Arbutus Avenue will receive notices from Wacor about when residents can expect limited access due to paving.
