Learn more about 2025 traffic plans for Sewer Conveyance Project

3 June 2024

Important upgrades to the Comox Valley’s sewer service are now underway, and the Comox Valley Regional District is sharing updates on how traffic will be managed during construction.

The work will happen along key traffic corridors, and to address this the project team has completed significant assessments to create traffic plans to maintain flow and allow work to be completed in a timely manner.

For most of 2025, this will require one-way vehicle traffic along Comox Avenue and Comox Road, headed westward (out of Comox). Vehicle traffic heading into Comox (from Courtenay, eastbound) will be redirected up Ryan Road to Lerwick Road. Bicycle travel will be maintained in both directions.
