The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is developing a Regional Climate Action Strategy and wants to hear from residents on what matters to them regarding climate impacts and priorities within our community.

In addition to public feedback, the development of the Strategy will include engagement with the Comox Valley’s elected officials, K'ómoks First Nation, local government staff, and community groups.

The focus of the strategy is on both mitigation and adaptation measures to alleviate the pressures of climate change within the Comox Valley.

Climate mitigation is about undertaking actions that reduce the quantity of greenhouse gas emissions the Comox Valley.

Climate adaptation is about undertaking actions that support changes to our built environment, technologies, and lifestyles to ensure we can thrive in a changing climate.
