With our community, we are developing a Regional Parks and Trails Strategic Plan to guide how we plan and manage regional parks and trails over the next 20 years.

In 2022, the CVRD formally established a Regional Parks Service. Creating a Regional Parks and Trails Strategic Plan is the next step. We're currently in Phase 2 where we are sharing emerging directions with the community to confirm the draft vision, goals, and key directions to be incorporated into the Strategic Plan. Join us at an open house in your neighbourhood. Weigh in on key questions like:

• What are the key characteristics and criteria we will use to evaluate opportunities for future regional parks and trails in the Comox Valley?
• Where are key areas of interest and opportunity?
• How do we balance different interests (e.g., conservation and recreation)?
• How do we prioritize and distribute future regional parks and trails across our region?
